Last week, I had to take my mom to the hospital, because she had a fish bone stuck in her throat for 3 days. Why 3 days you ask me? It was because my poor mom had thought a tiny fish bone does not qualify as a big enough problem to go to the hospital, and also she had expected that leaving the body to take care of itself might also do the trick. I must admit, we all do this from time to time.

Anyhow, both had failed, and on the third day, when mild pain ensued, mom was…

Like most of us, I keep track of my work deliverables in a handy ‘To-Do’ list. Having a long To Do list on a Friday is like getting stuck in the worst traffic jam in Silk Board Bangalore, when your movie is just about to start. Somedays, my To Do list will have fifteen items, out of which I would have completed five and there are ten remaining. Those ten items looking back at me and the sheer number of TEN remaining tasks itself suck out the motivation in me to go about completing them. …

A wealthy family gone broke, left to survive on a rustic town at a flimsy motel. (Correction — A super duper “I don’t even know what to do with all this money” — kind wealthy family ).That is as far as the blurb of the show goes. But it is by far one of the most hilarious shows I have seen. As in, each character in the show is endearing and very personal🥺🥺

The sentiment of embracing one’s skin for what it is — moles warts, darkness, texture and all never existed in our market. As a result, we had to suffer for the longest time with sunscreens that…

A friend and I were recently talking about stuff we do to our skin in the hopes of it resembling an insta filter or photoshopped models. Just kidding. We were talking about good skin care practices for different skin types, to make our face look healthier, plumper and glowing. We were having a good convo until it reached a debate where the topic of interest was — Coconut oil.

I am from Kerala, the word Kerala loosely translates to the land of coconuts. We use coconut in very many different forms in almost everything. Safe to say — the ‘coconut…

Some days, the mind gets overwhelmed. Deadlines at work, conflicts in relationships, PMS, noise because of maintenance and construction in and around your house — it all becomes too much in the head. And I would want quietness more than anything else.

Those days, I imagine quietness to wrap me around like a gentle blanket or a warm cosy hug. Where I can just snuggle in peace. I then imagine the air to be crisp. Inhale it deep inside so it fills my tummy up and then a sweet exhale where I know everything is going to be okay.
